"We killed them"; U.S. retaliation continues – VIDEO
The United States carried out an attack on two boats suspected of transporting narcotics in the eastern Pacific Ocean, killing six people, U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced.
“Our intelligence service determined that these boats were linked to drug trafficking, were carrying narcotics, and were moving along a known smuggling route,” Hegseth said today in a post on platform X, accompanied by a video of the operation, Reuters reported.
According to the U.S. defense secretary, both strikes were carried out in international waters, and each vessel had three “narco-terrorists” on board.
“Under President Trump, we protect the homeland and we kill these cartel terrorists who want to harm our country and its people,” Hegseth concluded.
According to earlier statements by Secretary Hegseth, the U.S. has carried out 14 airstrikes on vessels near the coasts of Venezuela and in the eastern Pacific since September. Sources say that in those strikes — before today’s — 69 people were killed.
