What made Tyler Robinson kill Charlie Kirk?

Get it!", which according to the governor "speaks for itself". Cox added that Robinson was radicalized "in a fairly short period of time."

However, other messages on the shells were a mix of internet memes and video game allusions, such as lyrics from an Italian anti-fascist song and references to the game Helldivers 2, complicating determining a clear motive.

How did the arrest come about?

Robinson, a third-year electrical engineering student, was arrested after a 33-hour manhunt. A key role in his arrest was played by his father, who recognized him on surveillance camera footage and persuaded him to surrender.

The investigators were also helped by the messages sent by Robinson on the Discord platform, where his roommate shared the content of the farewell message, and Robinson himself joked in the group chat that the crime was committed by his "doppelganger".
