The fate of Ukraine is being "tailored" in Paris
The European leaders of the so-called "Coalition of the willing" will meet today in Paris at 10:30 a.m. with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky to discuss aid to Ukraine, while a conversation with US President Donald Trump is also planned at 2 p.m.
As Le Figaro reports, they will call on the American president to introduce additional sanctions against Russia and contribute to future security guarantees for Ukraine, Le Figaro reports.
According to reports, European leaders will confirm their readiness to provide security guarantees to Ukraine, while at the same time hoping for American participation. French President Emmanuel Macron confirmed during a meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky that Europe is more committed to this issue than ever before, while NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte pointed out that Ukraine's allies are waiting for American action.
Before the talks with Trump, the leaders of the so-called "coalition of the willing" to help Ukraine will meet in person at the Elysée Palace at 10:30 a.m. Macron, Zelensky, Finnish President Alexander Stubb, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, EC President Ursula von der Leyen and EC President António Costa will be present.
Other leaders, including British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, will address via video link, Le Figaro added.
