Massacre: At least 95 dead PHOTO/VIDEO
At least 95 Palestinians have been killed in a series of Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip.
The death toll includes those killed in an airstrike on a cafe in the enclave, the bombing of a school and affected humanitarian aid distribution sites, local health and security sources said.
At least 62 victims of yesterday's attack were in the city of Gaza and in the north of the territory.
Cafe attack: At least 39 dead
In an attack by Israeli forces on the Al-Baka cafe in the north of Gaza, at least 39 people were killed, while more than a dozen were wounded, Al Jazeera reported.
Among the victims are women, children and journalist Ismail Abu Khattab.
According to witnesses, Israeli warplanes launched the attack without prior warning.
"This place had no military purpose. People were celebrating their birthday," said eyewitness Yahya Sharif.
The café was completely destroyed, and a large crater remained at the site of the attack.
Al Jazeera reporter Hani Mahmoud stated that the site was located in an area where many displaced people sought shelter from the summer heat.
The school was also bombed
On the same day, Israeli forces bombed a Jaffa school, which housed hundreds of displaced persons.
According to local sources, residents were previously ordered to leave the facility within five minutes.
Hospital yard hit
In central Gaza, the courtyard of Al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir al-Balah, where many families found temporary shelter, was also hit.
Al Jazeera's reporter from the field, Tarek Abu Azum, said that the attack was not announced, and that this was at least the tenth attack on the hospital complex.
"Systematic crime"
The Gaza government's media office condemned the attack, calling it a "systematic crime" against the health system, with claims that the Israeli air force targeted a tent inside the hospital complex, injuring several and causing significant property damage.
Attack in Khan Yunis
In Khan Yunis, southern Gaza, an Israeli strike hit a humanitarian aid distribution center, killing at least 15 people and wounding more than 50, sources from the Nasser Medical Complex said.
The attack took place at a site run by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), an organization that cooperates with the US and Israel.
Around 600 people have been killed in such locations since the end of May, when the GHF took over the distribution of aid.
The Israeli army confirmed that civilians were injured at aid stations and announced a review of the incidents.
Earlier, the Israeli newspaper "Haaretz" (Haaretz) reported, citing unnamed Israeli soldiers, that forces on the ground received orders to shoot at crowds of Palestinians, including those who posed no threat.
At the same time, as reported by Al Jazeera, Israeli forces are demolishing houses in Khan Yunis, and residents of northern Gaza have been issued new evacuation warnings.
