An incredible discovery by NASA surprised scientists: This rock is not from Mars...
The incredible discovery was made by NASA's Perseverance rover on Mars as it descended Witch Hazel Hill, part of the "Lake" crater that scientists believe was once a lake.

The rock it discovered turned out to be truly alien because it was nothing like the surrounding terrain. As the rover approached the incredible formation, it spotted angular rocks, some of which may have come from elsewhere, according to NASA.
The mysterious discovery puzzled scientists. While the larger one is bright and dusty compared to the surrounding terrain, "Skull Hill" stands out because it is dark, angular and full of small depressions.
NASA associate Margaret Dean said that made it seem as if the breakthrough discovery had "fallen" into place from somewhere else. In another mysterious find, the rover also came across various neatly shaped rocks that could also have been brought to the site by "something or someone".
She said that these are the same types of rocks as those discovered on "Skull Hill".
NASA experts have speculated that the "Skull Hill" may have arrived on Mars as a result of some ancient impact or powerful natural event that is still unexplained. They also assumed it could be a meteorite.
But the rover's Laser Super Camera debunked that theory. It analyzed nearby rocks and confirmed that the discovered formation did not have enough iron or nickel to be a typical space rock. Another theory suggests that "Skull Hill" is actually an igneous rock, formed by the cooling of lava or magma. It could have happened a million or even a billion years ago.
"Fortunately for us, the rover has instruments that can measure the chemical composition of rocks on Mars," Dean said.
She also indicated that additional tests will be conducted in the future to investigate this strange phenomenon. The discovery comes after some of Britain's top scientists told The Sun that aliens could exist on a distant ocean planet.
Cambridge astronomers say they are 99 percent sure they have spotted the best possible sign of biological life on a planet that is "buzzing with life".
The distant world, called K2-18b, is located 120 light-years from Earth and is about 2.5 times larger, and scientists now speculate that it may harbor alien life.
