Flood in America; There are already 20 dead PHOTO/VIDEO
At least 20 people, including a nine-year-old boy in the state of Kentucky, have died in the storms and floods that have affected parts of the United States since Wednesday.
Georgia Governor Brian Kemp expressed his condolences Sunday night to the families of two victims who were hit by a tree on a golf course, ABC News reports.
"We are saddened by the tragic deaths of two people from Georgia due to the storm. Please join us in our thoughts and prayers," Kemp said.
The Arkansas Department of Emergency Management confirmed that the first victim of the storm was a 5-year-old boy found in a southwest Little Rock home, with no details on the cause of his death.
A 16-year-old firefighter was killed in a traffic accident about 100 kilometers west of St. Louis, according to a report from the Beaufort-Leslie Fire District Command and a report from the Missouri State Traffic Police.
Ten storm victims were reported in Tennessee, three in Missouri, two in Kentucky and one each in Indiana and Arkansas.
Flood warnings were in effect Sunday morning from Louisiana to western Pennsylvania, and today the warning was extended to northern Florida, Georgia and South Carolina.
Since Sunday, more than 90 tornadoes have been reported in at least 10 states, from Kansas to Ohio, according to ABC News.
