The minister specified that this adaptation will enable airports to serve as transport hubs, evacuation points, warehouses for goods or places to provide assistance in emergency situations, Polish Radiopik reported.

"Each airport must be adapted to enable cooperation with the army," Kosiniak-Kamysz said, adding that work has already begun at several key Polish airports.

In Katowice and Wroclaw, work on the construction of logistics centers is underway, while preparatory work is being carried out in Krakow.

Prime Minister Donald Tusk called on NATO to increase defense spending, stressing that the Alliance's budget would be ten times larger than Russia's if all European countries had the same level of allocation as Poland.

Tusk added that stronger European investments in defense would contribute to maintaining stable relations with the United States of America.
