Final standings at EuroBasket: Serbia's worst performance in the last 18 years

This is the worst performance of our national team since 2007. It was the first appearance of the "Eagles" after independence, when they finished as the 14th team in Europe.

Serbia was eliminated in the round of 16, and the ranking was based on the performance in the first stage. Therefore, France finished ahead of them, as the leader of their group and the team with the better goal difference.

The teams that finished in the quarter-finals were placed in the same way, where Lithuania ranked ahead of Poland, Slovenia and Georgia.

The first four teams are already known. Germany is ranked first, Turkey second, Greece third, while Finland, which kicked Serbia out, was left without a medal.

Our team will have the opportunity to improve their impression in four years at the new European Championship, which will be held in Estonia, Spain, Greece and Slovenia.
