If you want to swim for the Holy Cross, here's what you need to do

The Zemun Municipality, the Church of Saint Father Nikolaj, and the SVEBOR Association of Belgrade are organizing the 29th swimming for the Holy Cross on Monday, January 19, on Epiphany, the municipality announced.

Also, under the patronage of the Zemun Municipality, swimming in Batajnica is being organized for the second time.

Registration for swimmers, with a free medical check-up, for both Zemun and Batajnica will take place on Thursday, January 15, from 3:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the premises of the “Lazar Savatić” Elementary School (Kej Oslobođenja 27, entrance “Multimedia Center”).

Swimmers participating in the Epiphany Swimming must be at least 18 years old. The celebration of Epiphany begins at 9:00 a.m. with a liturgy at the Church of Saint Father Nikolaj, Njegoševa 45, and continues with a procession through the streets of Zemun to the Zemun Quay and the Epiphany Plateau, where the swimming for the Holy Cross begins at noon.

In Batajnica, swimmers will gather for a liturgy at the Church of Saint John of Shanghai, followed by a procession to the town center, and then proceed to Široki Put on the Danube, where the swimming for the Holy Cross will take place at 12:00 p.m.
