Day of mourning tomorrow in Bačka Palanka: Four locals tragically killed in a horrific accident near Ruma
The municipality of Bačka Palanka has declared Friday, November 28, a Day of Mourning across the entire municipality, following a serious traffic accident in which four residents of the village of Mladenovo lost their lives in the tragedy near Ruma.
Four local residents — A.B., K.B., M.M. and T.A. — lost their lives, while three passengers sustained injuries of varying severity. The van driver, D.T. (69), suffered serious injuries and has been hospitalized.
The municipality made the decision to declare a Day of Mourning as a sign of deep sympathy for the families of the victims and support for the entire community of Mladenovo, which has been deeply affected by this tragedy.
To recall, at around 6:20 a.m. this morning, on the section of the road between Irig and Ruma, a traffic accident occurred involving a van and a work machine. Four people lost their lives, while so far three people have been reported injured.
The traffic accident occurred when the van driven by D.T. (69) crashed into a work machine operated by N.V. (49).
The injured individuals were transported to the appropriate medical facilities to receive medical care.
