The storm has arrived in Serbia: Wind uproots trees - chaos is yet to follow PHOTO/VIDEO
RHMZ issued the latest announcement about the weather in Serbia. The cooling that is approaching us has already affected the north of Serbia.
A strong storm has already hit Novi Sad and Sombor, and the stormy wind has also reached Belgrade.
Heavy rainfall was recorded in Subotica, while strong stormy winds were blowing in other parts of Vojvodina.
As stated in the announcement of the Republic Hydrometeorological Institute of Serbia (RHMZ), cloud cover with rain and local showers awaits us in the north and west of the country in the evening - and in some places the appearance of hail is possible.
"The precipitation zone will move towards other parts of Serbia in the evening and during the night towards Friday, with a cooling and stronger northwesterly wind. The highest temperature will be from 22 to 27 °C," the announcement states.
The wind uproots trees
The stormy wind managed to knock down a tree in Sombor, which covered the street.
The wind also felled a tree in Novi Sad, more precisely in Bulevar Oslobodjenja.
During the night, the cold will arrive in Serbia, states the Republic Hydrometeorological Institute of Serbia in the latest announcement on the website. This implies a temperature drop of almost ten degrees, heavy rain and snow on the plains.
In a new announcement by RHMZ, it is stated that during the night between Thursday and Friday, the temperature will drop and become noticeably colder, while on Friday we should expect heavy rain in some parts of Serbia, and snow in the higher mountains.
