Urgent warning: A sudden weather change is about to begin

The emergency warning of the RHMZ refers to a sudden cold, but also the appearance of snow in the lower regions, and even the formation of a smaller snow cover. Temperatures dropping by as much as 10 degrees and snow can definitely be called the return of winter.

Today we were greeted by a fresh and cloudy morning, but during the day it is expected to alternate between sunny and cloudy periods. Meteorologists announce that the rain will stop by the evening and the temperature will be from 3 to 19 degrees. In Belgrade, sunny intervals and dry weather for most of the day, with possible short-term rain in the afternoon.

"In the afternoon, it will be changeable in all areas with alternating cloudy and sunny periods and with less frequent occurrence of short-term rain, which will stop completely by the evening," announced the Republic Hydrometeorological Institute. A light to moderate wind will blow from the north, and temperatures will range from three to 19 degrees.

In Belgrade, it will be partly cloudy with sunny intervals and dry for most of the day, and in the afternoon, in some parts of the city, short-term rain is possible. The highest daily temperature in the capital will be around 16 degrees.

RHMZ: A sudden cold

The State Hydrometeorological Institute warned that in the period from April 6 to 8, there will be a sudden change in the weather, which will bring a cooling of more than 10 degrees, followed by a strong, short-term and stormy northwest wind.

Change arrives on Saturday; Formation of snow cover

"The change will begin first on Saturday evening and will first affect Vojvodina, and during the night also the other parts of Serbia, and in the southwest, south and southeast of Serbia on Sunday morning and before noon, there will be a snow cover in places. During the day, a snow cover may form transiently, but locally, in other regions as well due to expected showers of snow and hail," states the RHMZ and adds:

"The predicted intensity of the morning frost that is expected on Monday and Tuesday is from minus four to zero degrees, and below minus five on the ground in places, while in the mountainous regions there are conditions for morning temperatures around and slightly below minus 10 degrees. Damages are potentially expected in agriculture - vegetable growing, viticulture and fruit growing are particularly threatened, while the weather conditions are also unfavorable for chronically ill people, people under therapy, medical control or meteorologists."
