The number of infections in Serbia is growing: "Batut" spoke up
In the period from March 24 to March 30, 7,879 cases of flu-like illnesses were recorded in Serbia, which is 10 percent less compared to the previous week, the Institute for Public Health of Serbia "Dr. Milan Jovanović Batut" announced today.
According to the statement of "Batut" published on the official website, the highest incidence rates were recorded in the age groups of children under four years of age, followed by the age group of five to 14 years.
It is added that the number of people suffering from acute respiratory infections in the 13th reporting week was 9,867, which is a slightly higher number compared to the previous week.
According to the data of the joint weekly influenza report of the World Health Organization and the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control in week 12, the rates of occurrence at the primary and secondary levels of health care indicate an increased activity of respiratory viruses.
