A suspect has been arrested for a triple murder in Podgorica

He was arrested on suspicion that last night, in the Stari Aerodrom neighborhood of Podgorica, he used a cold weapon to kill brothers D.H. (28) and N.H. (27), as well as K.M. (56).

“Police officers of the Police Directorate’s Regional Security Center ‘North,’ with continuous support and cooperation from officers of the Regional Security Center ‘Center,’ after extensive operational activities and a precisely executed tactical action, located V. M. (25) from Rožaje in the inner city area, in an open space. He is suspected of the criminal offense of aggravated murder and was deprived of liberty, and the state prosecutor at the Higher State Prosecutor’s Office in Podgorica has been informed,” the police said.

The police stated that the suspect will be brought, along with a criminal complaint, to the Higher State Prosecutor’s Office in Podgorica for further proceedings.

“After comprehensive investigative and evidentiary actions are carried out, the public will be timely and transparently informed about all relevant circumstances and the further course of the proceedings. Even at this stage, a sufficient number of pieces of evidence and facts have been collected that unequivocally indicate that the suspect V. M. is the direct perpetrator of this criminal offense,” the statement concludes.
