"Kurti is systematically carrying out institutional and physical terror against the Serbian people in KiM"

Petković emphasized that Pristina, despite dialogue and negotiations in Brussels, is carrying out unilateral and violent moves that create impossible conditions for the life of the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija, and that there is no clear reaction of the European Union and Brussels to its uncoordinated moves.

As examples, Petković cited the opening of the bridge in Kosovska Mitrovica, numerous arbitrary arrests of Serbs, changing the names of streets in the north of Kosovo, the removal of murals of famous Serbs.

"Kurti is systematically carrying out institutional and physical terror against the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija, trying to change the reality on the ground, consciously avoiding respect for the agreements reached and signed so far. All of this would not have happened if today, 12 years after the signing of the First Brussels Agreement on the normalization of relations, we had formed the Community of Serbian Municipalities whose implementation was also guaranteed by the European Union, which is why it bears part of the responsibility for the situation on the ground," Petković pointed out.

He told his interlocutor that Belgrade is always ready to resolve all open issues peacefully and within the framework of dialogue, but that Belgrade and the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija expect clear support and protection from international partners and the European Union, as well as condemnation of Kurti's terror against Serbs.
