Vučić pointed out a great injustice: They did everything to humiliate us. We raised our people to the heights!
Aleksandar Vučić addressed Serbian media from the UN.
President of Serbia thanked the people at the beginning of his address.
"If you look at that schedule, more than two-thirds of the world's population was on our side. I want to thank China and Russia, but also the United Arab Emirates. I bow to Bin Zayed," he began and added who else supported Serbia.
"It was unbelievable what the pressures were and what they did, but we fought. They did everything to make the divisions bigger and bigger. I think that the people of Serbia were proud today and a special greeting to our people".
"This is the first time it happened that it was not unanimous," he emphasized and added that 107 countries did not want to agree.
"I finished my career here tonight. I did everything, and they did everything to humiliate us. It is clear to everyone what the end result is. We, our people, soared to the heights", he added and said that they were prevented from bringing Serbian flag.
"We did not rely on help even though we had it from many parts of the world, from our friends and brothers. We will never forget that. Tomorrow, we have to continue working. I will talk to Bosniaks in Serbia, because we have to live together," he added.
"It was hypocritical all that about the amendments. We had to explain to people 15 minutes before the start of the session that these were not our amendments. We endured all the tricks, everyone underestimated us. Their estimates were that there would be a total of 40 abstentions, amounting to 50, with those against, and there were 107 of us. Thank you to everyone who was with us," he concluded.
