Vučić with Wadephul: We discussed numerous projects, especially in the fields of energy and infrastructure
President Aleksandar Vučić met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany, Johann Wadephul, the Presidency of Serbia announced.
“An open and substantive discussion with Minister Johann Wadephul on further strengthening our bilateral relations, political dialogue, and joint projects of strategic importance.
I emphasized that Serbia attaches exceptional importance to cooperation with Germany, which is one of our largest and most important partners. We discussed numerous projects, particularly in the fields of energy and infrastructure. I thanked Minister Wadephul for Germany’s support for our economic development and reform processes.
We paid special attention to Serbia’s European path, regional stability, and the many global challenges we face.
I am confident that today’s meeting will contribute to the further deepening of the partnership between Serbia and Germany, as well as the continuation of joint work in areas important to both countries,” Vučić wrote on Instagram.
German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul began his visit to the Western Balkans on Sunday, and according to the announcement from the German Embassy in Serbia, he will be in Belgrade today and tomorrow.
The focus of the visit, as stated by the embassy, is on the progress and challenges in the EU enlargement process, highlighting Germany’s role as a country closely monitoring the region on its path toward the European Union, including through initiatives such as the Berlin Process.
