The CEC in Pristina verified the participation of the Serb List and Serbian Democracy in the local elections
President of the CEC in Pristina, Kreshnik Radoniqi, said that participation of the candidates of Serb List and Serbian Democracy in the local elections on October 12 in the AP of Kosovo and Metohija was verified, after the CEC in Pristina accepted appeals.
The Supreme Court in Pristina rejected the appeal of two CEC members from Self-Determination against the decision of the electoral panel for appeals and petitions on the certification of the Serb List for the local elections on October 12.
On August 26, Self-determination appealed to the Supreme Court in Pristina against the decision of the election panel for appeals and petitions, which ordered the CEC to approve the participation of the Serb List in the local elections in AP Kosovo and Metohija scheduled for October 12.
On August 24, the Electoral Appeals Panel overturned the CEC's decision to reject the confirmation of the candidates of the Serb List due to, as stated, the assessment that they did not meet the legal criteria for participation in the elections.
