NATO members at the "Storm" celebration: They are preparing a surprise

Croatia traditionally celebrates the criminal military-police operation Storm, which lasted from August 4 to 7, 1995, when around 250,000 Serbs were expelled from Croatia, while 2,000 of them were killed or are still missing today.

As previously announced, the military parade will be held on July 31.

General Kundid could neither confirm nor deny whether the HIMARS system will be seen at the parade.

"The fact is that we bought those systems and I think it would be pragmatic for them to come to the parade since that system was presented at AZDI this year," Kundid said last night in an interview with Croatian RTL.

The parade will last for two hours, says Kundid and invites citizens to attend it.

"It is a beautiful and significant event. They will have the opportunity to see the complete weapons and equipment with which the Armed Forces are equipped," Kundid said.

Asked if there would be any surprises, General Kundid answered in the affirmative.

"The surprise will be in the rear echelon, that is, in the machine that will be equipped with a system with which the armed forces are just beginning to be equipped or will be equipped in the near future," said General Kundid.

He added that Croatia is on the verge of signing a contract for two new corvettes for the Croatian Navy, a new battle tank platform.

"We should not only invest in systems that deliver kinetic energy - new technologies have become very powerful weapons. I am primarily thinking of artificial intelligence, quantum technology," Kundid said.

When asked what he would buy first, anti-aircraft defense or a battle tank, Kundid says that there is no doubt that the Croatian Armed Forces are at the very top in comparison to neighboring countries.
