Serbian delegation submitted 10 amendments: Postpone admission of the so-called Kosovo to Council of Europe

Today, Serbian delegation in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe submitted 10 amendments to the text of the recommendation for the admission of the so-called Kosovo to the Council of Europe, and one of them requests the postponement.

In the text, which Tanjug had access to, amendment number nine proposes that the Assembly recommend to the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe to postpone the decision on the request for membership until the United Nations Security Council, as stated, "determines or approves the status of Kosovo and Metohija".

Among other things, Serbian delegation requested that the proposed text be amended so that the establishment of a Community of Serbian Municipalities is a prerequisite for the continuation of the process of considering the application of the so-called Kosovo, and not a post-accession obligation, as stated in the recommendation.

On the text of the recommendation on the admission of the so-called Kosovo, 15 amendments have been submitted, which will be considered tomorrow by MPs in Strasbourg.
