Vučić welcomed Kaja Kallas: "Serbia remains a reliable partner to all who sincerely strive for cooperation"
President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, welcomed High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Policy and Security, Kaja Kallas, at Villa Mir in Belgrade last night.

"An open conversation with Kaja Kallas about key geopolitical topics, the security situation in the region, Serbia's European path and the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina," wrote Vučić on Instagram.
"I emphasized that Serbia is committed to a constructive dialogue, under the auspices of the EU, as a way to solve open issues, and that the protection of the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija is our absolute priority. I reminded that the formation of the Community of Serbian Municipalities is not only an agreed obligation but also a prerequisite for the further progress of the dialogue and any normalization of relations.
We also discussed the process of harmonizing Serbia with the EU's foreign and security policy. I am convinced that Serbia, as a country striving for membership in the European Union, has the capacity to contribute to the preservation of peace, stability and common European values, while preserving its vital national interests.
"Serbia remains a reliable partner for everyone who sincerely strives for cooperation, progress and a common European future," President said.
Earlier this evening, Kallas was welcomed by Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Djurić at Nikola Tesla Airport, at the beginning of her visit to Serbia.
As previously announced by the European Service for Foreign Affairs, Kallas is on a second visit to the Western Balkans from today to May 23, during which she will also visit Pristina and North Macedonia.
It was stated that Kallas will meet in Serbia with President Aleksandar Vučić, Prime Minister Djuro Macut, Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Djurić, Minister for European Integration Nemanja Starović, President of the Assembly Ana Brnabić and opposition parliamentary groups.
