Vučić congratulated the members of the Guard of the Serbian Army; "Symbol of Tradition"

The message reads as follows:

"I congratulate all members of the Guard on May 6 - Unit Day.

From 1830, when Prince Miloš Obrenović ordered the formation of the Guard from the most respected young men of that era, until today, thanks to exceptional training and high professionalism, you have gained the reputation of an elite unit of the Serbian Army, which has existed almost as long as the modern Serbian state.

The Guard of the Serbian Army is a symbol of tradition, honor and dedicated service to the state. With your dedication and disciplined approach, you have confirmed your importance as one of the most representative units of our Army for years. You consistently and proudly represent Serbia in the country and abroad.

Your achieved results in the execution of the most complex tasks speak of superior training, discipline and unwavering loyalty to the motherland. Aware of the importance of your role, the state will continue to invest in modern equipment, uniforms, weapons, training and living standards of Guard members because a strong, well-equipped and respected Guard guards the reputation of not only the Army of Serbia, but also of the entire country.

Thank you for your impeccable and honorable service. I am convinced that in the future you will continue to be an example to others and strengthen the trust you enjoy with your work.

May today's day, 195 years of existence be an incentive for you to achieve your goals," President Vučić's congratulatory message reads.
