Vučić: Marking six months since the fall of the canopy and two years since the tragedy in Ribnikar

At the beginning of his address, Vučić spoke about the Serbian economy.

"Happy holiday to those who work, and to those who just whined and did nothing," he said.

"Today is two years since the tragedy in 'Ribnikar'. I am not completely satisfied with what was done after the tragedy, in terms of preventive action," said Vučić.

"As far as the court proceedings themselves are concerned, I want to tell the citizens that there was a lot of influence from outside," he said.

"Today is six months since the fall of the canopy in Novi Sad. The state has taken every measure possible. Many forget why the Government of Serbia fell, it shows that not all people are in politics for the sake of their armchairs, and it happened because of the four guys who were guarding the SNS premises, even though they were only defending those premises," he said.

"They are still in custody, as if they killed 70 people. In the previous six months, we witnessed an unprecedented crime of destruction in Serbia, which began on November 3, 2024, in Novi Sad," he said.

He referred to the violence that happened in Nis, but also to the violence against Dean Patrik Drid.

"We have never once heard a simple 'sorry'. But today's gatherings, sad gatherings, show that their time has long passed, the time for responsibility is coming," he pointed out.

He reminded that today marks 30 years since the criminal operation "Bljesak/Flesh".

"They celebrate in Croatia even today, we are left to mourn. If some have the right to brag about their crimes, we have an obligation to mourn," he said.

"We will have important meetings here tonight, tomorrow we will make the first announcements. One of the topics will be tariffs. I believe that in the coming months we can achieve a good result. We will also discuss sanctions against NIS, as well as other strategic issues. We are working with them on many infrastructure projects. We have many more topics, from the geopolitical pressures that Serbia is facing. I believe that it is extremely important to establish a large number of contacts. Yesterday I spoke with Rudy Giuliani with pride," the president said.

He pointed out that he will convey to Trump that he is facing threats for going to the Victory Parade.

"One only question - what will be the punishment for Vučić and Serbia, they say 15 days in advance that they will punish me, so that they will put me in chains. Serbia is on the European path, I am personally prepared for any kind of punishment. I am bound by my word, I told President Putin that I will come. I will go. Serbia will remain on the European path even after that. I must say that as a political veteran I know the interests of Serbia well. Billions have been invested in my demolition. Although for a moment it seemed that I was alone, I wasn't, the people were busy. I was supposed to present the order to Patriarch Kirill. I hope to have a bilateral meeting with the president of China," said Vučić.

Vučić: I'm going to Moscow, Serbia will remain on the "European path" even after that.

He pointed out that he talked with Giuliani about Republika Srpska.

"I emphasized two things. You cannot have a double approach, to say that you are in favor of the UN Charter, and then attack Serbia. When it happens in Ukraine, you say that it is the first time. This primarily concerns the Europeans. You cannot say in Sarajevo that Kosovo is independent. I will always fight for the RS. Just as Kosovo is not independent, we also respect the integrity of BiH," he said.

He also spoke about blockaders.

"Don't pretend to be naive, they destroyed everything in the previous six months. They destroyed our country. They destroyed the core of Serbia's progress, responsibility is yet to come," he said.

"I never lied to you when I said that the train to the colored revolution has passed," the president pointed out.

"As for the dean, they are of different natures, you have a large number of honorable professors who cannot tolerate the terror of the dean. You saw, the four most important faculties in Novi Sad could not agree. Problems in blockaders' paradise are yet to come, especially within the opposition parties," he said.

"I hosted Donald Junior Trump twice. I didn't pay anything, neither did anyone ask me, nor did he ask me. Every meeting is important to me and here it is much more important with the European and world leaders with whom I consulted on how to approach Trump in conversation. They have much more experience in conversations with Trump, I have seen him 3 times in my life and they told me that it is always better to talk to him in Mar-a-Lago than in Washington. Wherever I talk to him, he is the president of America. And just think how many other people would like to be in my place," he pointed out.

"About the demands of April 12, there are demands that are very serious, which have not changed and will not change, I did not believe that some people are so devious and will deceive the public. In any case, they will have to be fulfilled because they concern the respect for the principles of constitutionality and legality and responsibility. Responsibility is the key word, someone who destroyed the country on a daily basis will have to answer. You know what is in those five demands and there will be no deviations," he said.

"I invite the citizens of the south of Serbia, on May 17, we will have a small meeting in Niš, I invite people to come to hear a different program, to hear their fellow citizens. We will bring good news to Niš, from textbooks, transportation..." he pointed out.

Yesterday, President Vučić arrived in Florida, in the United States of America, and in a video statement on Instagram after his arrival, he pointed out that he hopes for important and good meetings with the head of state during his stay in the United States.
