Chaos in Belgrade: Shooting at a well-known restaurant; One person injured; Attacker arrested

In a well-known restaurant in Belgrade, the owner of the establishment was injured in a shooting. Police stated that they have arrested D.M. (24), who is suspected of carrying out the attack.

According to Tanjug, he is suspected of committing the criminal offense of attempted aggravated murder.

Some media outlets reported that the shooting took place in the restaurant “Džeri.”

Strong police forces quickly arrived at the scene, along with an emergency medical team, which transported the injured man to a medical facility.

According to Blic, the owner of the venue suffered gunshot wounds. The same outlet also reports that an explosive device was thrown at the same restaurant about three and a half months ago, for which two suspects were arrested.

Police secured the scene and are conducting an investigation to determine all the details of the incident.

Investigators are reviewing security camera footage and interviewing witnesses who were inside the restaurant at the time of the shooting.

The motive for the attack is still unknown, and authorities are working to identify and locate the shooter.

More information is expected after an official statement from the police and prosecution.
