About the company

The international Vaider Group, whose parent company Vaider Group AG is registered in Lucerne, Switzerland, took over the Serbian Glass Factory in Paraćin at the end of 2022.

SFS Paraćin, as stated on its website, aims to become a leading glass manufacturer in the Balkans.

The Vaider Group has ambitious growth plans for the European glass market and plans to invest more than €100 million in the coming years in modernizing and expanding its operations.

SFS launched a new furnace in 2024 with a capacity of 270 tons of glass packaging per day, for which the investment was worth around €50 million.

At the factory in Paraćin, after the completion of a major investment in the new furnace, initial trial production of packaging glass began, and the products are distributed in Serbia and the Southeast European market.

In November 2025, SFS announced that it is entering a new phase of development under the strategic leadership of the Vaider Group.

The company stated that it is continuing a comprehensive modernization program aimed at strengthening long-term competitiveness and production stability.

Vaider Serbian Glass Factory, as stated, has achieved exceptional market progress since its first drop of glass from the new furnace produced in May 2024, and in less than a year it has placed its products with customers in as many as 20 countries across the region and Europe.

The factory in Paraćin was ceremonially opened as early as 1908.

Three years after its establishment, the Belgrade Cooperative became the majority shareholder of the Serbian Glass Factory, and a new partner and creditor decided to expand the factory.
