B92.net at the EXPO 2027 construction site: At the center of the future National Stadium; Works in full swing
At the EXPO 2027 construction site, work is progressing according to plan, and the B92.net team witnessed firsthand that work is in full swing.
At the site where the International Specialized Exhibition EXPO 2027 will be held, everything is buzzing like a beehive or an anthill.
Wherever you look, machines and workers are in motion, as several large sections are being built simultaneously: the National Stadium, the residential complex “Expo Village,” exhibition pavilions, a hotel, and especially the Serbian national pavilion, along with numerous necessary auxiliary facilities.
Around 3,800 workers are on site every day.
The first apartments within the complex will soon be completed. Expo Village consists of 11 buildings covering 160,000 gross square meters with 1,500 accommodation units.

Recall that the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, and Finance Minister Siniša Mali recently visited the construction site in Surčin to see the progress of the works at the venue of the upcoming major international exhibition.
“The largest construction site in this part of Europe, spreading over more than 110 hectares and the pride of Serbia – EXPO, is slowly becoming a city within a city, which I believe we will complete by September. The outlines of seven EXPO halls are already visible, giving a completely different perspective of this part of the site,” Vučić wrote on his Instagram profile.
Recall that Finance Minister Siniša Mali also spoke on Instagram after visiting the construction site.
“I’ve lost count of how many times we’ve visited the workers, checked on the progress of the work, and seen how construction is advancing at the largest construction site in this part of Europe,” Mali posted on the social network.
