BELGRADE Milovan Drecun expects the Kosovo dialogue "will continue regardless of the fact that Belgrade cannot accept what is being offered at the moment." The chair of the Committee on Kosovo and Metohija and MP from the ranks of the ruling Progressives (SNS) added that "the dialogue does not have to keep the format it had up to now." SNS MP expects dialogue "to continue in new format" “I expect that the talks on the competences of the community of Serb municipalities will continue, and that other issues will be opened as well. The format of the talks depends on Brussels, but I think that it does not have to be the highest format as it has been the case so far, and that the talks at a lower level on technical issues are possible,” Drecun said. He told reporters in the parliament that if the stances of Belgrade and Pristina converge to the point when the agreement is possible, it is likely that the meeting will again be held at the highest level. Drecun said that there are hints from Belgrade and Washington that they support Belgrade's stance on the continuation of the dialogue, and back Belgrade in order not to hinder Serbia's EU pathway. “A hint from Brussels has arrived that the dialogue should be continued, and Washington has stated that Serbia wants nothing from the Ahtisaari Plan, while Pristina wants no autonomy for Serbs, but that a solution could be found in a form which is somewhat more that the Ahtisaari Plan and somewhat less than the autonomy,” Drecun said.
