Several dozens of members of a Kosovo police, KPS, unit are protesting at the training camp in Kisnica, near Pristina, reports said. KPS spokesman Baki Keljani told Tanjug late on Wednesday that the KPS members who were protesting demanded a 100 percent increase of their wages, which now amount to about EUR 280. Police in Kosovo stage protest Keljani said that the protest is peaceful, that it is being held indoors and that only those off duty are taking part in the protest. The protesters have given the government a deadline until 10 a.m. today to meet their demands. Keljani could not specify what the protest participants might do if their demands are not met by the deadline. The protest started on Tuesday afternoon.
