BRUSSELS EU Enlargement Commissioner Stefan Fule on Tuesday sent a draft framework for accession talks with Serbia to EU consultative bodies. He is also preparing to visit Belgrade in less than two weeks, his spokesman Peter Stano told Tanjug. Draft framework for talks sent to EU bodies "We have sent the draft for consultations to the relevant EU services and it will be delivered to member states very soon," he said. "Some Serbian media wrongly reported that Fule will deliver the draft framework to the Serbian authorities, which is not true since this is an internal procedure inside the European Commission," Stano explained. After consultations a final version of the draft will come before member states and working groups at the Council will adopt it. "We expect this to happen before the summer break," said Stano. The spokesman added that Fule will travel to Belgrade in under two weeks to talk about ongoing preparations for the talks with Serbian officials. "We hope screening will begin as soon as summer holidays are over," said Stano. (Beta/AP, file) Tanjug
