Former bus manufacturer director arrested

Former Director of Ikarbus Srecko N. and three others were arrested on Tuesday on suspicion that they defrauded the company of EUR 1.2mn. The suspects are believed to have made illegal gains through the sale of 166 buses, from 2003 until late 2008, transferring EUR 1.2mn to three other companies, and incurring damages in the same amount to the bus manufacturer. Former bus manufacturer director arrested Serbian police (MUP) said in a statement late on Tuesday that the other persons arrested were the director and owner of Autogrand company from Belgrade, Zoran M., Priboj's Autoglobal Director Milisav M., and the deputy director of the Belgrade-based Unibros company, identified as Milivoj T. The statement said that the four made money by transferring fees for alleged mediation in the sale of the buses to Autogrand, Autoglobal and Unibros, even though these companies not take part in the transactions.
