Today’s Belgrade dailies lead with the ongoing Kosovo crisis and the visit of representatives from Russian oil giant Gazprom. BLIC – “Public enterprises - hotbeds of corruption” refers to the allocation of the executive posts between the political parties. “Russian get NIS, Serbia gets pipeline” concerns the Gazprom representatives’ visit. “Drunk driver in faulty bus” is the headline of an article about school bus drivers. Press: Gazprom, Kosovo in limelight BORBA – “Differences remain” tells of the continuing disagreement within the UN Security Council over Kosovo’s fate. “In (dis)harmony with the Constitution” refers to the continuing debate over local and presidential elections. VECERNJE NOVOSTI – The paper writes that after six decades “State returns property” taken by the Communists in the wake of WW2. “Kiosks demolished, Bojovic starves” refers to a visit by communal inspectors to Belgrade Zoo. “Russians turns up heat” concerns the meetings between state officials and Gazprom representatives. GLAS JAVNOSTI – The paper publishes an interview with Velimir Ilic entitled, “Djilas’ big brother”, concerning a recent conflict between the two, where Ilic allegedly abused Djilas' secretary on the phone. Vojvodina Assembly Speaker Bojan Kostres says “I didn’t request Lily Marlene in pub”. Following the paper’s recent article on the Dolorex drug, made in China, we hear that “Dodgy drug withdrawn from chemists”. DANAS – The paper leads with the sixth “Environment for Europe” conference. “Serb negotiating team receives Troika invitation” refers to the invitation to the Brussels talks. The paper features an interview with former Yugoslav ambassador Miodrag Lekic: “Diplomats get no joy from leaving a better impression than their country.” KURIR – Mirjana Bobic Mojsilovic announces “I forgive Marija Milosevic” who, according to the paper, has met for the first time in years with former Politika director, Hadzi Dragan Antic. POLITIKA – “Putin gives no ground to Sarkozy” is about the French president’s visit to Moscow. The paper publishes a survey, suggesting that “Serbia more expensive than Slovenia”. “Election agreement by end of week” is a reference to the continuing electoral negotiations. PRESS – “Davidovic released” is the headline of an article about the corruption trial of the former Marten Board director, Marko Davidovic. “Siptar’s money shaking Serbia” concerns the fate of the Zemun Clan members’ wealth.
