RS president: Serbs in Srebrenica discriminated Dodik said that the RS political parties would do everything they could to make sure that a Serb is elected as Srebrenica mayor in the upcoming local elections. He stressed that he was convinced that “Srebrenica Serbs will not much longer have to endure pressure and discrimination exerted by the Bosniak authorities in the town”. According to the RS president, all forms of discrimination would be eliminated if a Serb won the local elections in Srebrenica. “The international community is aware of the problems regarding the election of Srebrenica mayor and so far there have been several initiatives so citizens could face the problem,” High Representative in Bosnia-Herzegovina Valentin Inzko told Sarajevo-based daily Dnevni avaz. “Several ambassadors have discussed the issue with the Bosnia-Herzegovina’s politicians. We still have a few months to find a solution and to make sure that all expelled Srebrenica residents can vote in the elections just like in 2008,” Inzko stressed. He believes that Bosniak parties should be urged to call on all former Srebrenica residents to come and vote in the elections. Milorad Dodik (Tanjug, file) Tanjug
