Bosniak member of Bosnian Presidency Bakir Izetbegovic says that relations between Serbia and Bosnia are better after Srebrenica declaration was adopted. He said that Tadic’s visit to Srebrenica and release of Ilija Jurisic had contributed to improvement of the atmosphere. Bosnian official: Better relations with Serbia Izetbegovic apologized for every innocent victim of the Bosnian Army. He points out that normalization should continue through agreements, by adopting some new declarations and solving open issues between the two countries, such as issue of borders. He also points out that one of the steps should be mutual visits of Serbian and Bosnian high officials. B92: How much are relations between Belgrade and Zagreb influencing Bosnia? Tadic and Josipovic call each other friends, Tadic is going to Vukovar… Izetbegovic: Yes, they have influence. Belgrade and Zagreb used to have fatally bad influence. I think there are good things today. Tadic is calming down relations in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Josipovic is especially calming them down, he is taking care of Croats in Bosnia-Herzegovina in the best way, I had a meeting with him a few days ago in Dubrovnik and he told me that he would meet Tadic and I conveyed my greetings. B92: What did you tell him? Izetbegovic: To say hello to him for me. I told Vujanovic (Montenegrin president) to tell him that we had an ugly past, let’s make a better future. B92: What did Josipovic say? Izetbegovic: That he would tell him and that they would talk about Bosnia-Herzegovina to some extent because Josipovic is very interested in stable relations within Bosnia-Herzegovina. Had we stood up to war in 1992, the population wouldn’t have perished. Half of Croats are missing from Bosnia-Herzegovina, it’s a result of a stupid policy, stupid agreement from Karadjordjevo. Let’s be smarter this time. Bakir Izetbegovic (Tanjug, file)
