"Serbia likely to get PM-designate in June"

"On that day Vucic's mandate as the head of government ends. It is necessary that he resigns, and with that a 30-day deadline starts for him to propose a PM-designate to the Assembly and give them a mandate," said Gojkovic.

According to her, once the Assembly accepts his resignation as prime minister, the new president will have a deadline to hold consultations with parliamentary parties and entrust a person who has secured a majority with the mandate to form a new government.

"There is a stable majority in parliament, all the parties that stood with the SNS, with Vucic's candidacy - so I expect we will have the PM-designate in June," Gojkovic said.

Asked whether she "had any idea" who this might be, Gojkovic replied that although she was "not without ideas as a politician" - "everything is in the hands of the president."

"There will be political consultations so that starting from June 1 we have a clearer picture about the person who will continue the reform course," she said.
