Vucic "expressed the hope that the delegation of the Council of Europe will have all the necessary mechanisms to observe the elections, and stressed that it is very important that these elections are characterised by the lowest number of incidents in the history of multi-party system."

He pointed out that Serbia is on its European path and that the elections will be held in a European spirit, with respect for European values.

Vucic "added that the issue of the stability of Serbia and the region is a key issue for the future of Serbia."

Representatives of the Council of Europe expressed the hope that Serbia will demonstrate high standards in the process of democratic elections and that it will continue the reform process and its European path.

They also showed interest in the situation in the region and economic reforms in Serbia, as well as the continuation of dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, the government said on its website.
