UN chief condemns opposition violence in Kosovo assembly

"I condemn the use of violence and intimidation of the opposition parties that impede the normal work of the Kosovo assembly, as well as the unacceptable physical attacks by opposition activists on the prime minister and members of the government," Ban's report has been quoted.

Ban urged all political actors to refrain from rhetoric and actions that are incompatible with the principles and norms of a civilized and democratic society.

The opposition parties in Kosovo demand that the agreements reached with Belgrade be abandoned, primarily the one establishing the Community of Serb Municipalities.
