He then noted that Serbia would instead "endeavor to export to this country as much as possible."

"I have said this because I know what kind of pressure Serbia will be placed under," Vučić said.

He added that Serbia "will not wage wars any more, both its own or someone else's."

Instead, according to Vučić, "it will take care of itself and those who want some other scenarios should support the SNS rivals."

"While some want war we will look for jobs for our people," he stressed, and added that "people who wish for the Ukrainian scenario (to happen in Serbia) are not serious and responsible, and are showing they do not love their country and do not think about its future."

"You know that I am not much of an optimist, but I am sure that our country stands a chance, and not a small one. For the first time after many years, we have stability," Vučić told the SNS rally in Sremska Mitrovica, northwestern Serbia, on Monday.

Vučić asked voters "not to listen to public opinion polls but to turn out to vote, and tell their friends (to do the same)."

"Then we'll see if the people wish that we finish what we started, the fight against crime and corrupution, new jobs, continued reforms, or if we wish that some others bring us back to the past."

"For that reason I am not asking from you that we win with a one-percent margin - but to have more than everybody else put together, to completely defeat them, I am asking for a convincing victory from you," Vučić.

Early parliamentary elections are scheduled for March 16.
