BELGRADE Montenegrin Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic is on Tuesday meeting with representatives of the Serbian state to discuss improving relations and cooperation. Djukanovic arrived here on Monday evening and had an informal dinner with Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic. Serbian officials meeting with Montenegrin PM Dacic also welcomed his this morning at the beginning of the official visit, after which the Montenegrin official will meet with First Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic. The two prime ministers will sign a Memorandum of Understanding between the two governments in the context of EU accession, and then Dacic and Djukanovic will address the media. Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic was also to receive Djukanovic, but he left for South Africa in the meantime, to attend a commemorative event on the occasion of the death of Nelson Mandela. While in Belgrade, Djukanovic will also meet with President of the National Assembly Nebojsa Stefanovic. The Montenegrin prime minister is making his first official visit to Belgrade after ten years. The last time he was in Serbia was when he attended the funeral of assassinated Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic. It was announced in Podgorica on the eve of Djukanovic's trip that the meetings will "further contribute to the improvement of overall bilateral cooperation on regional and international levels, the strengthening of economic ties, especially in the area of ​​infrastructure transport, tourism and energy."
