In a conversation with journalists, Vučić stated that 4.6 billion was invested in the reconstruction of health institutions in Leskovac and that nothing had been invested since the 1950s.

"You have to understand that it is not easy with the money, we are still holding out," he said, adding that they still have to think about Serbia's priorities, but that this investment was necessary.

Vučić is accompanied by Minister of Health Danica Grujičić, Minister for Public Investments Marko Blagojević and Mayor of Leskovac Goran Cvetanović.

"The mammogram we brought, we brought before the deadline, I promised that it would come in November, December, it should start working from the first of November," announced Vučić. He explained that it is a 3D mammogram, which detects 65 percent more invasive diseases. Apart from Leskovac, mammograms will soon be available in Babušnica, Negotin, Kladovo, Kuršumlija, Vladičin Han, Niš and Kragujevac, announced Vučić. Vučić pointed out that the average salary in Leskovac increased from EUR 269 to EUR 550, which is what it is today.

While visiting the hospital, Vučić stated that our healthcare has raised the standards when it comes to hospitals and their reconstructions.

"Women's health is an important matter, Leskovac could not raise this much money alone, we had to help," he noted, talking about investments in health care in Pomoravlje.

"Let me thank you for your self-sacrificing work, in not so easy conditions. I hope that when we finish the reconstruction, that you will have much better conditions," said Vučić, addressing the health workers of the General Hospital in Leskovac. He said that he wants them to live more easily and their conditions to improve. He also wished them success. Vučić announced that before the end of the year, the hospital in Leskovac, but also Kuršumlija, Vladičin Han, Vlasotince, Babušnica, Pirot, Soko Banja, Kruševac, Kragujevac, Surčin, Obrenovac, Majdanpek, Negotin, Kladovo and Požarevac will be equiped with mammogram. "You can say you don't have money for a magnet, and mammograms are something you can and must have money for," said Vučić, noting that health must be a priority, especially women's health.

When asked if there will be jobs for people who graduate from university, Vučić said that we should work on dual education, in order to avoid situations where people with certain professions cannot find a job, because that profession is not in demand on the labor market.
