The opposition Serb Radical Party (SRS) is denying media claims that a prostitute came to the parliament building to visit one of its MPs. This was one of the main topics of discussion in the parliament corridors, with no MPs wanting to reveal the name of the person at the center of the scandal. Prostitute visits MP in parliament? According to unofficial reports, security stopped a prostitute in February from entering the parliament building, and while at the door, “she asked for a SRS official”. Officially, the woman has a warrant out for her arrest, but no one wants to say who she was coming to visit. SRS official Aleksandar Martinovic denied rumors that the prostitute was invited by his fellow SRS M Sulejman Spaho. “I can safely say that nothing of the kind took place, Sulejman Spaho is a serious, family man who has a daughter and granddaughter and has always represented SRS with dignity. I talked with him and he confirmed that it was not true,” Martinovic told reporters. Asked if he talked to security about this, Martinovic said that they do did deal with such investigations, adding that those accusing the SRS officials should offer some kind of proof. Parliamentary Speaker Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic is also asking for proof. She said that the only truth to date was that there have been four people with warrants out for their arrests that have visited parliament this year. Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) MP Nebojsa Randjelovic said that evidence should be given, but reminded that there are other “ugly habits” that have been tolerated in parliament recently, and listed those as “proclaiming parliament a safe house for Ratko Mladic, and welcoming Miladin Kovacevic”. He was also quoted as saying by the media that “now some unwashed Radicals wish to wash their hands off it”.
