First Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Ivica Dacic is traveling to Brussels on Sunday. He will convey Belgrade's expectations that the European Union (EU) will demonstrate readiness to help "open the doors to Serbia's future in Europe", it was announced on Saturday. Dacic in Brussels on visa liberalization Dacic said he expects it will be confirmed yet again in Brussels, in the talks with European officials, that Serbia has taken many steps toward the EU and visa liberalization. "I exect that Serbia will in the next few months fulfill all that is envisaged for the liberalization of the visa regime," he said ahead of his trip. Dacic will be on the visit to Brussels Feb. 8-9. He will meet with Director-General of the EU Council General Secretariat Robert Cooper, EU Enlargement Commissioner Olli Rehn, and European Commission Vice President Jacques Barrott, who is in charge of legislature and internal affairs. Dacic will confer with the European officials on the possible participation of Serbia's police in EU's peacekeeping police missions, the liberalization of the visa regime, and Serbia's advance toward the EU.
