Priština: Journalists’ van broken into

The news van of the Glas Juga and KiM Radio reporting teams from Caglavica were broken into in Pristina while parked in front of a sports center. The incident occurred while the reporters were attending a news conference of the KFOR and NATO commanders. Pristina: Journalists’ van broken into One window was broken and two mobile phones were stolen from the van. The robbery was reported to the Kosovo police, KPS, who investigated the scene of the crime. The Serbian Journalist Association and its Kosovo branch called on the police to find those responsible for the incident and arrest them, adding that they must state the reason why the Serb journalist team was targeted. “It is worrying that these incidents are happening so close to the police station in Pristina at a time when there are a lot of people and vehicles in that part of the city,” President of the Kosovo Journalists’ Association Zeljko Tvrdisic said. He added that the police must take added measures to make sure that all journalists, regardless of ethnicity, and their property are better protected in Kosovo. The association also said that it would notify EULEX of the incident.
