Interior Minister Ivica Dacic says that he will respond to a court summons to testify in the case known as the “briefcase scandal.“ Following a meeting of the Parliamentary Defense and Security Committee, Dacic told MPs that court summonses had been returned on two occasions because no-one had been at home to accept them. The trial of former National Bank Deputy Governor Dejan Simić and Socialist Party of Serbia official Vladan Zagrađanin on corruption charges got under way at the Belgrade District Court yesterday.

The interior minister left Simić’s flat moments before it was raided by police.
