Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Bozidar Djelic spoke about Serbia's World Bank debt in Washington on Thursday. It is very important that the amount of money Serbia will be paying back to the World Bank (WB) over the next four years is not higher than the amount the bank pays to Serbia, he said, according to reports. Djelic, who is heading a Serbian delegation that is attending the annual meeting of the WB and International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington until October 10, said that representatives of the IMF will be informed about the progress of the debate on the Bill on fiscal responsibility, which means going out of the arrangement with the IMF and a proof that Serbia may pursue a responsible policy independently.
