Dinar slide continues unabated

The dinar continues to fall against the euro—according to the National Bank’s (NBS) official rate, one euro is now worth RSD 82.99.

The dinar continues to fall against the euro—according to the National Bank’s (NBS) official rate, one euro is now worth RSD 82.99. The domestic currency has lost eight percent of its value against the euro in the last fortnight. Dinar slide continues unabated The rate has fallen by RSD 0.33 (four percent) since yesterday when there were RSD 82.66 to the euro. The NBS Monetary Committee has decided to keep the reference interest rate at 15.75 percent. According to a statement, at its meeting today, the committee adopt a range of measures to improve solvency in the banking sector. The National Bank decided to abolish mandatory reserves paid in to the NBS for loans from abroad retrospectively, as of October 1, said Governor Radovan Jelasic.

The rate has fallen by RSD 0.33 (four percent) since yesterday when there were RSD 82.66 to the euro.

The NBS Monetary Committee has decided to keep the reference interest rate at 15.75 percent. According to a statement, at its meeting today, the committee adopt a range of measures to improve solvency in the banking sector.

The National Bank decided to abolish mandatory reserves paid in to the NBS for loans from abroad retrospectively, as of October 1, said Governor Radovan Jelašić.
