According to him, Koretskyi&rsquo;s greatest advantage is his reputation as a strong crisis manager.He gained such a reputation in 2022 while leading Ukrnafta, a company that had previously been under the control of oligarch Ihor Kolomoisky. Within a year, he managed to pull the company out of a serious financial and organizational crisis and return it to full state control.Fesenko believes Koretskyi also proved himself at the helm of Naftogaz, particularly during the previous winter. The company managed to secure gas production and supplies for a large part of the country despite constant Russian attacks on Ukraine&rsquo;s gas infrastructure. Russia is expected to continue, and possibly intensify, attacks on Ukraine&rsquo;s energy infrastructure, which could cause serious problems with heating supplies for public and private facilities during the winter.Political scientist Petro Oleshchuk from Taras Shevchenko National University in Kyiv believes Koretskyi&rsquo;s appointment was a very wise move by President Zelensky. The president has entrusted the management of the energy sector to an experienced executive, while he himself will be able to focus more on diplomacy and military issues, creating a clearer division of responsibilities.Fesenko shares a similar view: &quot;Zelensky expects a very difficult winter. It is necessary to ensure the functioning of the entire vital system, from energy to municipal infrastructure. Managing the crisis during the coming winter will be the main priority of the new prime minister.&quot;On July 16, the new prime minister presented parliament with candidates for ministerial positions, except for the foreign and defense ministers, who in Ukraine are nominated by the president.
