The second anniversary of the Hamas attack on Israel

The Israeli army announced this morning that a projectile had been detected after being launched from the northern part of the Palestinian territory. There have been no reports of casualties so far.The projectile was detected after warning sirens sounded in Netiv HaAsara, in southern Israel, near the Gaza Strip border, the army&rsquo;s statement said.Several hundred mourners gathered at the Kfar Aza kibbutz, near the Gaza border, to mark the second anniversary of the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023.A group of mourners assembled for a ceremony in front of an armory building where part of the fighting between community residents and Hamas militants took place, The Times of Israel reported.Seven members of the community, whose photos were displayed on the building&rsquo;s wall, were commemorated with candles lit in their memory.During the speeches, attendees also made special mention of twins Ziv and Gali Berman, who remain in captivity.The Hamas attack on Israel took place on October 7, 2023, killing around 1,200 Israelis and resulting in 251 people being taken hostage.
