Plane Crashes in Italy; Air Force Members Killed

According to the Italian news agency ANSA, a single-engine T-260B aircraft belonging to the 70th Wing, based in Latina, crashed during a training exercise over Circeo National Park, about 100 kilometers from the capital.Rescue teams arriving at the scene found the wreckage in flames and the bodies of the two crew members. The crash occurred near one of the park&rsquo;s entrances, in a wooded area where no civilians were present at the time.Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni offered her condolences following the accident.&ldquo;I express my deepest condolences over the crash of the Italian Air Force aircraft near Circeo National Park. My thoughts and those of the government are with the victims&rsquo; families, the Air Force, and the entire Ministry of Defense,&rdquo; she said.Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani also expressed his sorrow, stating he was deeply saddened by the loss of the two pilots and offered condolences to their families. The cause of the crash has not yet been determined, authorities said.
