Several weeks later, reports emerged that it had begun analyzing the drone in an effort to develop its own version. The seizure of the U.S. underwater drone represents a new incident in an already highly tense situation surrounding the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most important maritime passages for global energy trade.
