This civil case, which concluded today, was filed by A.B., the injured boy, through his parents as his legal guardians.The evidence shown in court was presented by Kecmanović&rsquo;s attorney, Marina Ivelja, who stated that it demonstrates that the minor K.K. was trained by the shooting range director Ratko Ivanović, not by his father, Vladimir Kecmanović.Ivanović had previously reached a plea deal with the prosecution and was sentenced to five months of house arrest for giving false testimony.The shooting range footage shows the minor K.K. in a shooting booth, while a man&mdash;identified by the attorneys as Ivanović&mdash;gives instructions on how to hold the gun, position his knee, and place his fingers on the firearm. At one point, Ivanović tells K.K.: &ldquo;Don&rsquo;t put your finger on the trigger unless you&rsquo;re ready to fire.&rdquo;The plaintiff&rsquo;s attorney, Stefan Radivojević, argued that Vladimir Kecmanović also trained his son to shoot, was present at the range while K.K. practiced with the instructor, and that without his approval, the instructor could not have trained the minor.On the other hand, Ivelja argued that Vladimir Kecmanović only trained his son to shoot an air gun, and that when they intended to leave the range, Ivanović stopped them and suggested training him with a firearm.Radivojević ultimately requested that the court fully uphold the lawsuit, while Ivelja proposed that it be dismissed.The judge concluded the public hearing today, and the verdict will be announced at a later date.The lawsuit seeks compensation for non-material damages due to physical pain, fear, and psychological suffering. The court will decide on the claim and, only after the civil proceedings are concluded, will determine whether to fully, partially, or reject the families&rsquo; claims.This is the final civil case being conducted against the Kecmanović family.In total, five civil lawsuits were filed, three of which were initially decided: by 27 members of the families of the victims, by the injured teacher Tatjana Stevanović, and by the injured boy J.D.Additionally, the criminal proceedings have been concluded at first instance. Vladimir Kecmanović was sentenced to a unified prison term of 14.5 years for committing the crimes of a serious offense against public safety and abuse and neglect of a minor, while his wife, Miljana Kecmanović, was sentenced to the maximum prison term of three years for abuse and neglect of a minor.The instructor at the shooting range, Nemanja Marinković, who allegedly trained the minor, was sentenced to 15 months in prison for giving false testimony.The Court of Appeals in Belgrade held a session in June during which the lawyers and the prosecutor presented their appeals.The minor K.K. is criminally irresponsible, as he had not reached the age of 14 at the time of the massacre.
